Steak Teppanyaki Wakana is a restaurant with over 60 years of tradition. It has a sister store in Kitakami. As a teppanyaki restaurant, we use the highest quality local meats, vegetables, and seafood to take full advantage of seasonal ingredients, all cooked right before your eyes on a teppan grill by our skilled chefs.
We provide a warm atmosphere with culinary skills that enhance the natural goodness of local ingredients and heartfelt service that attends to each customer.
Our restaurant is often used for significant life events such as meetings, birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations, attracting many customers who have been visiting us across three generations of their family.

Kuroge Wagyu beef from Iwate Prefecture（Marble Beef)
[Characteristics] The softness that melts on your tongue is unique to Kuroge Wagyu beef.
At our restaurant, we offer Kuroge Wagyu beef from all over Iwate Prefecture, regardless of specific brands of beef (Maesawa Beef, Shizukuishi Beef, etc.).
Iwate Tankaku Beef
[Characteristics] Lean, healthy beef that is rich in umami ingredients.
[Difference between Kuroge Wagyu beef and Tankaku beef] While Kuroge Wagyu beef has marbling (marbling), Tankaku beef is lean beef that is low in fat and contains plenty of amino acids that are the basis of umami.
Wakana Honten
The location of Wakana Honten is found approximately five minutes by car from Morioka Station. It is close to Morioka Castle Site Park. The two-story red triangular roof serves as the landmark. We have large counter seats, bench seats in boxed rooms and private rooms. Therefore, you can use our restaurant in various settings.

Wakana Kitakamiten
Wakana Kitakamiten is located in front of the entrance to Kitakami City Sakura Hall. It is approximately seven minutes by car from Kitakami / Ezuriko Interchange and approximately 10 minutes by car from Kitakami Station. The bright interior of the restaurant surrounded by trees is a single story building with a universal design.
